If you haven’t looked for work recently, it can take a while to get up to speed. There are tips and techniques to help you. Don’t forget, many people get work through friends or family, so make sure everybody knows you are looking. It can be hard work, so you need to be persistent.

Recruitment agencies can take the hard work out of job searching, especially if you have skills people are looking for. Find out which agencies would work best for you: some of them specialise in specific types of work.

Recruitment websites, employment agencies and local papers are just a few of the places you can look for vacancies. If you cast your net wide and use as many sources as possible you’ll usually get the best results.
