George Clooney to buy new Italian villa on Lake Maggiore

In more gossip from Italy, George Clooney could buy a new luxury villa in Italy on Lake Maggiore, replacing the famous Clooney Villa Oleandra on Lake Como at Cernobbio.
According to reports, the new villa may or may not be for a marriage with Elisabetta Canalis, but one thing is clear: George Clooney is enjoying playing the media on this one.

The luxury Italian villa in question is the 19th century Villa Farraggiana, which has apparently also caught the attention of Russian millionaire Roman Abramovich.
It’s a beautiful looking villa, as far as villas go, and while we wouldn’t presume to advise George Clooney as to his property purchases, if he was interested, he could do worse (though I’m more partial to Lake Como…).
Regarding a possible Clooney-Canalis wedding, talk has been that the couple would choose Isola Bella, scene of John Elkann’s marriage to Lavinia Borromeo.
If George Clooney does decide he’d like to pop the question, he only has to look to the media to find out where and when the happy event is.
