Gateway to a different realm

Dear Editor,

In the wake of the current disruption between Dublin and New York’s connection, it might be appropriate to contemplate alternative destinations. A liaison with Las Vegas could prove both ecologically feasible and a source of scientific inquiry. Notably, the somewhat bawdy antics of Dubliners could potentially be more tolerable in a city renowned for its unrestricted, tolerant disposition. Moreover, the popular maxim, ‘what happens in Vegas, remains in Vegas,’ has yet to be proven through a rigorous empirical study.

In light of the ongoing predicament of what to do next with the “Pole Hole,” one often-used strategy to technical issues could be employed: power down, then power back up, but at a different location. This strategy could hold promise as Dublin City Council continues searching for a resolution.

Regarding the portal that is potentially becoming the new Clery’s clock for country folk planning to journey to the big city, more information is needed.

Yours Sincerely,

Brian O’Brien, Kinsale, Co. Cork;
Bob Corkey, Kilmuckridge, Co. Wexford;
Peadar Macken, Castlegar, Galway.
