Authorities are urgently soliciting help from the public in response to a hit-and-run event that occurred in Clondalkin, Dublin, and a separately related incident that involved a cyclist in Tralee, County Kerry.
In the occurrence in Dublin, a young man in his 20s was struck by a van on Cloverhill Road at approximately 1.45pm on Sunday. The man suffered severe injuries and was rushed to hospital. However, the van did not stop at the scene of the accident.
Officials are requesting anyone possessing more information to reach out to Ronanstown Garda station by dialling (01) 6667700 or by calling the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111. Alternatively, contacting any local Garda station would also be acceptable.
In a separate incident in Tralee, emergency services were immediately informed after an unresponsive cyclist was discovered at the roadside around Bracker O’Regan Road at nearly 12.45am.
The injured cyclist, a male in his 60s, was found on an electric bike, as stated by the Garda Press Office. After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the man was transported to University Hospital Kerry, where his injuries are said to be severe.

Furthermore, authorities have appealed to everyone who has obtained camera footage, including dashcam videos from the scenes or nearby the incidents’ locations at the time, to come forth to assist in the ongoing investigations.
