“Gardaí Hunt Driver After Limerick Hit-Run”

Authorities are currently in pursuit of a motorist, believed to be a female, who was last seen in connection with a collision involving several stationary cars in Limerick City, outside of the popular Dolan’s pub and music venue. The event transpired on the Dock Road, roughly around 8pm, with the driver absconding the scene before the Gardaí and other emergency response teams could arrive.

Substantial damage was reported for a number of vehicles involved. Amongst the damaged vehicles, two BMWs and a Nissan were notably towed away from the scene by a recovery vehicle.

The incident was attended by Gardaí as well as units from the Limerick City Fire and Rescue Service, who proceeded to keep access to the road restricted. The fire personnel were also seen clearing the roadway of the debris resulting from the wreckage.

A representative from the Garda confirmed their presence following the solo-vehicle crash that took place on Dock Road, Limerick just after 8pm on the evening of Friday, 12 April 2024. He further stated, “Three vacant parked cars suffered damage in the collision”. The collision did not result in any reported injuries, although the driver is understood to have left the wreck site immediately after.

Efforts to investigate further into the case are actively in progress. The Garda are appealing to anyone in possession of any relevant information or dash cam footage to share it with the Henry Street Garda station on 061–212400.
