Gardaí Arrest Man After Clondalkin Hit-and-Run

Following an incident in Dublin’s Clondalkin on Sunday afternoon where a pedestrian was seriously injured after a van hit him, the Gardaí have made an arrest. The vehicular incident happened around 1:45pm on Cloverhill Road, involving a van and a young man in his 20s. The victim was rushed to hospital for treatment of his severe injuries and remains in critical condition. The van in question did not stay at the scene following the accident.

On Sunday evening, Gardaí reported that they had arrested a male suspect who is currently being held at a South Dublin Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. The investigation into the event remains active as per the statement given by the Gardaí.
