In 2009, the volatile relationship between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher resulted in a severe disagreement which concluded in the disbanding of their group, Oasis. At that time, the most popular charts were reigned by Oasis’s albums, and their fans would fill up the grandest of venues, knowing every lyric to an extensive collection of popular tunes, from ‘Wonderwall’ to ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’.
In the following years, both Gallagher brothers embarked on their individual musical journeys and didn’t hold back from publicly criticising each other, asserting that they would never reunite on stage. Nevertheless, as described by music critique Eamonn Sweeney to ‘In the News,’ the previous year has witnessed a softening in their dispute, and Liam has subtly indicated that there may be a chance for an Oasis reunion. There are substantial financial implications involved, of course.
Adding fuel to the speculation, over the weekend Liam publicised a significant upcoming announcement, set for Tuesday, August 27th at the rather impractical time of 8am for a rock star. Could there be possibilities of concerts in Ireland?
