Francis Bacon is now regarded as one of the greatest painters of the 20th century; a true genius who succeeded in capturing the unrest and deep turmoil of his times.
His paintings are like a magnificent and appalling journey into the depths of the soul and the nightmarish reality of a society falling to pieces.
Several of his major works, among which the famous Studies for figures, Heads and Pope I, will be on exhibition at Palazzo Reale in Milan until 24th August ; many of these paintings come from the most important museums and art collections in the world and will give you an unhoped-for insight into Bacon’s mind and approach to art and life.
This is the first exhibition devoted to Francis Bacon here in Italy since 1993 so don’t miss it you may not get a second chance.
