Fourth Arrest Over Dublin Murder

In a recent development regarding the homicide of Josip Štrok, a Croatian national residing in central Dublin, a fourth suspect has been detained. Mr Štrok, a 31-year-old carpenter, was brutally assaulted on Grange View Way, Clondalkin, in the western part of the city, on the 30th of March, which resulted in fatal head wounds. His friend, David Družinec, 28, was also reportedly targeted in the same episode.

Mr Štrok did not survive his injuries and tragically passed away in Tallaght Hospital four days post the attack, on April 3rd. On Thursday, Gardaí reported the arrest of a fourth individual, a man in his 40s, in conjunction with Mr Štrok’s slaying. As of now, he is being held under the terms of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station located in west Dublin.

Two Clondalkin teenagers were previously indicted in April for their involvement in the murder of Mr Štrok. Another suspect apprehended during the inquiry was set free without any charges, while awaiting instructions from the DPP.
