“Four Explosive Devices Found in Dublin”

On Sunday, in the southwestern region of Dublin, a vehicle was searched by the Gardaí which led to the unearthing of four potential explosive objects. The search, occurring in Ronanstown, Dublin 22, resulted in the apprehension of a gentleman in his 40s, who is currently held under the scope of Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act 1939 in Dublin’s Garda station.

Subsequent to the identification of these explosives, the Gardaí sought the aid of the Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal squad. The devices were effortlessly and safely taken away from the site.

Additional searches in Ballyfermot and Ronanstown saw the Gardaí confiscate an amount of something believed to be cannabis as well as a motocross bike. Probes by Garda into the case are still in progress.
