“Four Arrested Asylum Arson Suspects Released”

In Rosscahill, Co Galway, four individuals have been discharged without a formal accusation related to an act of arson that desicrated a building this past December. The building, the Ross Lake House hotel, had been selected as lodging for 70 refugees and sustained significant fire damage on December 16th.

The alleged offenders, two males and two females in their 40s and 50s, were apprehended for suspected violations in accordance with the Criminal Damage Act, 1991. These individuals, all believed to be locals, have been subsequently freed and paperwork will be compiled for the Director of Public Prosecutions Office.

GardaĆ­ strongly believes that the inferno was set amidst protests leading up to the arson incident. These protests drew extermists from across the nation, however, it is agreed that the arrested individuals are residents of the vicinity. The inquiry into the matter proceeds.
