For VIPs only: Dolce and Gabbana do Gold in Milan

In the 80’s there was a nightspot in Tokyo called Gold, strung across seven unusual floors: each corresponded to a increased level of selection as you went up, to finally reach the top floor only for rock stars and VRPs (very rich people).
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana often used to go when they were passing through.

And they liked it so much that 20 years later, they’re transferring the glitter to Milan in a luxury space with bar and restaurant.
And the name is GOLD.
As you can imagine the interior is completely decked out in gold trimming and other than this photo, you’re only likely to see it if you’re part of the VIP set in Milan.
Interestingly, it has opened up just down the road from a charity outfit that provides food, hot showers and medical assistance to the homeless and poor people.
We can’t wait to see if Dolce and Gabbana will start providing sushi to the hungry.
