Food for tourists: take away food in Italy

Wonderful news for the traveller in Italy: a new brand is emerging for the so-called “baracchini”: kiosk or caravan style places that serve food.
Sometimes the food is great, other times a purchase constitutes a real leap of faith, as you don’t really know what you’re getting.
But now a new brand can guarantee the product being sold.

“Streetfood” kiosks will sell only speciality dishes from Italian cuisine.
You can find a “lampredotto” bread roll (a kind of Floretine tripe), fried gnocchi from Emilia Romagna, focaccia di Recco from Liguria, Sicilian arancini, olives, the Piedmontese gofri (a kind of crepe or pancake) or a Sardinian seadas which is a kind of fried cheese delicacy served with sugar or apple.
Despite all this wonderful food, I think the beauty of the Streetfood.
it initiative, at least for the tourist, lies in not turning your pockets out for exorbitant service charges in dubious bars and restaurants.
On the site you can find maps and directions to areas covered, the food and even some recipes.
