The FIM has officially released a revised 2013 World Superbike calendar today, officially confirming that Istanbul Park, Turkey would be will now be hosting a round of the Superbike this season.
The Turkish venue therefore will be hosting the tenth round of the fifteen rounds, and is scheduled for September 13-15, between the Nuruburgring and Laguna Seca rounds, and the June 23rd slot that was previously indicated as ‘to be announced’ has been dropped.
Yesterday the Silverstone and Imola rounds were confirmed by the respective circuits and now Portimao which was the last venue to be subject to contract, has also been finally confirmed.
The last time that Istanbul Park saw an international motorcycling event was in 2007 with MotoGP.
