FIM and Dorna Officially Confirm Motegi GP Postponement

It took more or less 24 hours after after everyone posted yesterday that the Japanese Grand Prix scheduled for April 25th, was being postponed due to problems in international air travel throughout Europe by the volcanic eruption in Iceland, to get official confirmation from the governing bodies, Dorna and FIM.
Here’s the official FIM statement:The recent vulcano eruption in Iceland has resulted in an ash cloud cover infiltration.

Air traffic space over Europe has stopped all international travel in and out of Europe.
This case of ‘force majeure’ has obliged the Grand Prix Permanent Bureau composed of the FIM President Vito Ippolito and Dorna C.
E.
O.
