Dear Editor,
Has the country’s leader, the Taoiseach, become so preoccupied with outmaneuvering his political adversaries that he’s oblivious to the burden a pre-Christmas election might place on the electorate? The weekends preceding the festive season are customarily hectic and frequently fraught with tension. It’s a period reserved for annual reunions with friends and family, office celebrations, household preparations, purchasing Christmas presents, and naturally, a tradition like The Late Late Toy Show. It’d be astonishing if none of his advisors had pointed out, “That’s quite a bit to handle, Simon.”
Yours sincerely,
BRÓNAGH SYNNOTT,
Dublin 14.
