“Fatal Risk Alert for Child’s Toy Truck”

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has issued an urgent recall for a toy truck that poses a fatal danger to children. The “2-Play Construction Truck” produced by Toys Amsterdam has been revealed to carry a risk of harm, as it can fracture during play, allowing children access to the button batteries inside. These batteries, if swallowed, can lead to a critical case of gastrointestinal perforation. The product is identifiable by the model type/number 510213.096, batch number 038803, and the barcode 8713219366479. The toy brand is 2-Play.

The commission stated that approximately 2,412 toxic toys released into the Republic have been affected by this issue. Anyone in possession of these toys is strictly advised to cease its usage instantly and keep it beyond the reach of children. Consumers are advised to return the item to the retailer where it was purchased from for a full refund.
