A fatal accident involving two cars occurred in Carrowkeel, Quigley’s Point, Muff, Co. Donegal on Friday evening, resulting in the death of a woman in her 30s. The unfortunate event happened at around 11.15pm. The woman, who was a back seat passenger, suffered fatal injuries from the crash and her body has been transported to Letterkenny University Hospital for a post mortem examination to be performed in due time.
The car’s driver, a woman in her 70s, and a male passenger in his 50s, both incurred non-life threatening injuries. They have been taken to Atnagalvin and Letterkenny University Hospitals respectively. The teenager driver of the other car emerged from the accident unscathed.
Investigators from Garda’s Forensic Collision unit are presently scrutinising the crash site. Garda is reaching out for any witnesses of the crash, particularly anyone who might have captured the incident on camera.
