Fatal Collision in Co Wicklow

A young man in his 20s tragically lost his life following a two-car collision that took place near the town of Ballinaclash in Co Wicklow, early Thursday morning. Authorities are urging anyone who might have seen the crash, which occurred roughly around 8.35am on the R753 between Ballinaclash and Aughrim, to aid in the investigation by presenting any relevant details.

The injured male, who had been operating one of the vehicles, was rushed to St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin with serious injuries. Sadly, he later succumbed to his injuries.

A minor in the other car involved in the incident was hurried to Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, purely as a precaution.

The police are encouraging anyone who might’ve witnessed the tragic accident to step forward and provide any information they can. Additionally, those who were passing by the crash site and have any video footage on their dashcam are being asked to provide it to the investigating officers.
