Following a vehicular tragedy in Co Antrim, two senior citizens, aged 75 and 82 succumbed to their injuries. The fatal crash took place on the Frosses Road, near Ballymoney on a Friday afternoon when the car they were journeying in collided with a truck.
Inspector Cherith Adair from the PSNI Roads team, informed that the law enforcement learned about the mishap around 1.10 pm. Despite the swift action by the police and allied emergency services, they were unable to save the lives of the car’s driver who died instantly at the accident site. The co-passenger also passed away shortly in the hospital.
Officials from the collision investigation unit are looking into the incident and have issued a plea to the public for any potential evidence. They are seeking any possible witnesses to the events leading to the crash or anyone who may possess related CCTV, dashcam, or other video footage.
