Fashion designer Tom Ford opens luxury Milan store

After the New York store, Texan stylist Tom Ford has come to Milan, opening a luxury store in via Verri.
Milanese are used to luxury fashion stores, but the crazy thing about this is that the mega shop occupying 4,300 sqaure metres over five floors will house only clothing above 3,800 euros each – from embroidered silk slippers to 24 carat gold sunglasses, everything is signed by Tom Ford and bears the Made in Italy brand.

The top floor of this store is dedicated to whoever wants custom-made clothing, and is divided into private rooms, a terrace and a bar for a truly exclusive service (and in case you get thirsty while someone measures your crotch area).
The shop was designed in collaboration with architect William Sofield, and includes sophisticated materials including artworks, one of which is a piece by Anselm Reyle placed at the entrance.
The Milan store should be followed by other boutiques in fashion cities such as London, Dubai and Los Angeles.
I should imagine flashing your credit card on entry is required, although if I had that kind of money, I’d be buying something more exciting than a pair of slippers.
