Exploring Rome’s less well-known districts

In collaboration with Insieme nelle terre di mezzo, TAM has organised an interesting series of tours of Rome; tours which will take tourists on a surprising journey into the history of some of Rome’s less wellknown districts.
The first guided visit – which starts on April 10th – will focus on Pier Paolo Pasolini ‘s personal vision of the city.

For the first time visitors will have the unique opportunity to visit the places described by the famous writer in his novels and poems (which will be read out loud by actor Valerio de Angelis).
The tour will include Via Porta Furba, the Mandrione district – an area where, back in 1950s, lived those who had been left homeless by the war – and Tor Bella Monaca.
But more tours of Rome’s less well known districts are on the way.
Here‘s the complete list: Garbatella on April 24; Esquilino on May 8; Rione Monti on May 22; Pigneto and San Lorenzo on 5 June.
