Ex-Connacht, Munster Player Rory Burke Dies

Rory Burke, an ex-player for teams Connacht, Munster, and Ireland’s under-20s, has tragically passed away at the tender age of 30. Burke, who also played for the Cork Constitution and Nottingham, made his first competitive introduction for Munster in 2017 against Treviso, coming on as a substitute. As a powerful prop forward, Burke transitioned to Connacht after a two-year spell with Nottingham during which he made 30 appearances. In 2014, he earned a cap for Ireland’s under-20 team. In a formal statement, Connacht Rugby expressed their deep condolences to Burke’s wife Sarah, parents Paul and Karen, as well as all friends and family who were lucky enough to have known him.
