Everybody’s Fine remake: Robert de Niro in the shoes of Marcello Mastroianni

Everybody’s Fine is the modern American remake of the 1990 Italian film, Stanno Tutti Bene.
The original was directed by Giuseppe Tornatore and starred an extraordinary Marcello Mastroianni who showed his natural prowess as one of the world’s classic actors.
The new film, Everybody’s Fine, continues Robert de Niro’s current love affair with Italian cinema and Italian-themed films as he finishes filming the third Manuale d’Amore film in Italy with Monica Bellucci; it’s his first film in Italian for 30 years.

The story of Everybody’s Fine is the same as that of Stanno tutti bene: an elderly man goes to visit his children who he hasn’t seen in a long time.
They’re grown up now and each has their own life but how are they really? It’s a trip down memory lane with all the sweet pain that goes with it.
