Eric Granado joins Aspar’s Moto3 team

Jorge ‘Aspar’ Martinez after resigning Jonas Folger for the 2013 season has completed in Moto3 line-up with Eric Granado.
The Brazilian teenager raced in the 2011 125cc CEV with MIR Racing team finishing 5th overall and in 2012 Gianluca Montiron signed him for his JiR Moto2 team, but Granado had to wait until he turned sixteen in order to legally debut in Grand Prix racing and that happened at the Silverstone round in June.

Granado’s best result in the last eleven races was a 21st spot at Mugello and his results convinced him that he needed to gain more experience hence the step back to Moto3 and Aspar’s KTM Kalex could be the right machine for him.
With Granado age 16 and Jonas Folger age nineteen, Aspar will be fielding one of the youngest teams in the series.
