Just a humble philatelist here, raising my support for another readers’ proposition of producing a stamp in honour of Elvis (Letters, September 3rd). But I reckon An Post should reconsider.
When the US Postal Service initiated a series of Elvis-themed stamps, they recorded a significant surge in improperly addressed mail. It would seem that zealous fans deliberately misaddressed their letters, aiming to have them returned with the mark “Return to Sender”.
