Elderly Man Arrested for Suspected Murder

A male suspect has been apprehended in relation to a suspected homicide following the demise of a septuagenarian in Co Armagh. The police reported that the victim was discovered with severe cranial wounds at a residential house in Crossmaglen last Saturday.

The Chief Detective Inspector from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), Anthony Kelly, disclosed that they received a death report of a man at a dwelling on Annaghmare Road, Crossmaglen, shortly post 7 pm. He added, “Upon reaching the scene, our officers found a man’s corpse in the washroom with serious head injuries.”

Investigations to determine the conditions leading to his demise have commenced, and officers are still at the scene, he remarked. A 67-year-old man has been detained on murder suspicion and is currently under police supervision.
