Eicma in Milan, biggest motorcycle show in Europe

Eicma will soon be opening its doors in Milan, with the motorcycle show running from November 4th to 9th.
The numbers will prove that Milan is in first place for European cities for motorcycle interest.
More than 280,000 square metres are dedicated to the fair, with 140,000 square metres for outside shows and events.

More than 1000 exhibitors will be present from 30 different countries.
Guidalberto Guidi, president of Eicma, has said the the show is the most visited in the world, though for the Italian market it has the task of contributing to a turn-around in motorcycling fortunes here.
After constant growth, the motorcycle sector registered a drop of seven percent in the first semester of 2008.
Across Europe, reduced sales have been the theme of 2008, with 160,000 vehicles less.
In Italy sales figures amount to 535,000 units, 265,000 of which were scooters, 140,000 motorcycles and 130,000 50cc scooters.
In the meantime, the Eicma show will provide us with some interesting news and fun, and we’ll be providing you with some coverage.
