Eicma 2008 preview: Ducati Streetfighter and Streetfighter S

Hell for leather has revealed the two new “pearls” that Ducati will present at the Eicma show for 2008, open to the public from Thursday.
The 2009 Streetfighter and Streetfighter S are both equipped with a twin cylinder desmodromico V90 at 1099cc, which gives both models 155hp at 9,500 revs and noteworthy torque at 119Nm.

The “S” version is different from the standard version with Marchesini alloy wheels and Ohlins fork and swing arm.
The chassis is a trellis frame with a wheel base of 1,475 mm and a 25.
6° steering angle.
Twin side-mounted exhausts are included, different to the previous Streetfighter which had underside mufflers.
Milan’s Eicma should prove to be an important preview to all the best in motorcycling models for 2009, with plenty of novelities for the new year in store.
