Eicma 2008: NCR’s Ducati 848

Besides the introduction of the Mike Hailwood TT bike, NCR’s Ducati 848 was also present at the EICMA in Milan.
Twowheelsblog went to visit the NCR stand to shoot some pictures for you.
The NCR Ducati 848 was built through a collaboration with the US Ducati factory.
The bike and team rode in the Parts Canada Superbike Championship in the Thunder Class and won the Championship with riders Valter Bartolini and Andrew Nelson in a perfect year, with seven victories and seven pole positions in seven races.

It’s possible to build your own Ducati 848 into the NCR 848 model, because all the parts are commercialised by NCR.
To give you an idea about the way this great bike can be built, we give you a nice example.
The bike weight is only 155 kg, the engine has the option of titanium connecting rods carved out of billet, high compression forged pistons, titanium valves and a balanced crankshaft.
It can reach 145 HP at 12,500 rpm with a torque of 12Kgm at 10.
000 rpm.
Other options include a front suspension with Ohlins-NCR internal damping system and NCR Corse-EFI electronic part accepting full mapping capabilities along with Lambda interface for closed loop mapping control.

If this does not fit into your own budget or ideas, all the parts can be ordered separately, not just as a complete kit.
NCR sells other models, like the well known Millona, the New Blue, the Legere and the Macchia Nera concept bike.
NCR is located at Bologna in Italy.
