Yesterday we took a look at the KTM 990 SM R, and to complete its 2009 offering, seen at the Eicma show, KTM has also presented the 990 SM T.
This is a supermotard that has been designed for longer journeys, with added features providing comfort and protection.
The split level seat and carry bag show the touring elements of this bike, along with its 115hp performance.
The suspension has been re-designed and shows the improved touring aspects of the bike, although no changes to the engine itself have been made.
The 990 Supermoto T has the same sparkling LC8 twin cylinder as the 990 SM.
Below are some of the details of this little gem from KTM.
Many elements are similar to the KTM SM R, including the engine, the Keihin injection system, and the two throttle valves per cylinder.
The chassis is a Chromium-Molybdenum trellis frame with alloy fork.
The WP Fork is upside-down at 48mm and the mono shock is fully adjustable with 160mm travel at the front and 180 at the rear.
The tyres are Continental Road attack measuring 120/70-17 and 180/55-17, with alloy wheels and Brembo radial-mounted calipers for the 305mm floating discs.
