€10.5m Cocaine Seizure at Dublin Port

Customs officers in Dublin’s port intercepted a shipment of cocaine valued at €10.5 million. The narcotics, weighing around 150kg, were hidden inside a newly delivered freight container. This significant discovery was a joint effort between the Revenue’s Customs Service and Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, as part of their continuing investigations into illegal drug trade and organised crime groups.

As of yet, no arrests have been made relating to this operation, and investigations are still ongoing. This is one of many recent drug seizures intended for distribution across Ireland. On the previous Sunday, officers confiscated about 104kgs of cocaine worth an approximate €7.2 million at Rosslare Europort. On the day before, an X-ray scanner and a detector dog helped in seizing about 783kg of herbal cannabis and 70kg of cannabis resin at Rosslare, valued collectively at over €16 million.
