Ducati fans are waiting for the release of Ducati’s Strada Aperta (name to be confirmed), which will replace the Multistrada this year.
These spy shots give a sketchy idea of the bike, whose release should happen in November.
The Strada Aperta is still heavily camouflaged but the overall style is evident, with a sleek, agressive look and pointed tail in dirt-bike style.
The bike should sport front twin disc brakes, single rear disc, and single-sided swing arm.
There are some classic Ducati features that meet expectations (such as Ohlins suspension), but debate on the engine to be chosen is inconclusive.
A 1,200cc air cooled DS motor was originally reported, but rumours have changed to speculate that the motor will be the liquid-cooled Testastretta from the Ducati Streetfighter.
With the target competitor set to be the BMW R1200GS, Ducati might have some other surprises up its sleeve.
In the gallery is a full set of Strada Aperta spy shots from recent months, from Motociclismo, MCN and Motor.
