“Dublin Rail Services Disruption Until 10.30am”

According to statements from Irish Rail, ongoing disruption to their rail services, primarily affecting the route between Killester and Dublin city centre, isn’t expected to be resolved until approximately 10:30am on Monday. The root of the issue is a power outage at Clontarf, which has obstructed the ability of a train to depart Clontarf Road.

The issue originates from damage sustained by the overhead lines in the area. The company has indicated that considerable time will be required to rectify the problem and, subsequently, to restore services. Initially, it had been communicated that the issue would be resolved by 10am but it appears the timeline for resolution has been pushed back.

Irish Rail previously publicised a statement explaining that, “Overhead lines on Clontarf Road suffered damage resulting in the suspension of all Dart and Northern Commuter services between Killester and Connolly. For Enterprise services, a bus transfer is available between Dublin Connolly and Drogheda. Teams are actively working on-site to rectify the issue. Dublin Bus has agreed to accept rail tickets during this period of fault. We extend our apologies to our patrons for the inconvenience.”

On an unrelated note, Bus Éireann announced that their call centre phone lines are currently unavailable. Customers needing assistance are encouraged to email customercare@buseireann.ie or get in touch through social media direct messaging.
