An Air Canada flight, #AC819, en route from Venice to Montreal was compelled to perform an emergency landing at Dublin Airport due to a hydraulics problem, possibly a leak, causing the loss of nose steering. As a result, the aircraft was incapable of taxiing to a terminal and had to be transported by a tow truck to a secure point. Fire and rescue departments rushed to the scene as the plane landed at 6.50pm. Owing to this, Dublin Airport is currently operating with only one runway. Attempts to reach the Dublin Airport Authority for remarks have been made. Meanwhile, hygiene concerns have been raised at Fitzpatrick’s Castle Hotel, Killiney as rodent droppings and filth were discovered in the kitchen. Additionally, a global online shopping scam emanating from China has robbed Irish victims of thousands, with one such incident involving a ring that resembled a washer.
