Drugs valued at £410,000 have been confiscated by the police in Tallaght

In a police operation in Tallaght, Dublin, on Wednesday afternoon, law enforcement agents confiscated controlled substances valued at €410,000. The amassed collection of drugs, including cannabis, cocaine, heroin (diamorphine), alprazloman and zopiclone, was uncovered at a residential property, along with various pieces of equipment such as scales and a couple of large vacuum packing devices. Forensic Science Ireland will be conducting an analysis on the confiscated substances which have an estimated worth of €410,000.

A woman in her forties was apprehended on-site and is presently under custody in a Dublin police station, according to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. The investigation into the matter continues.

The police clarified that this seizure forms a component of Operation Tara, a comprehensive national plan against drug trafficking. The operation’s objective is to hinder, disintegrate and legally pursue the networks involved in peddling and distributing controlled substances.
