Dooher, Logan Resign as Tyrone Managers

Brian Dooher and Feargal Logan, co-managers of the Tyrone senior football team, have declared their decision to resign from their roles. Following Mickey Harte’s exit, the duo was assigned the managerial positions in November 2020. Dooher and Logan experienced immediate victory with the team, securing the All-Ireland championship in 2021 by overcoming Mayo in the final with a score of 2-14 to 0-15. As their original three-year contract ended in 2023, a renewed three-year offer was extended to them in August. However, Tyrone faced an unexpected early departure from this year’s championship, succumbing to Roscommon in the preliminary quarter-finals. Martin Sludden, Tyrone County GAA chair, honoured Dooher and Logan in a statement on Monday evening as “indomitable contributors to Tyrone’s success.” He admired their repeated creation of remarkable history for the county, characterised by style, grace, dignity and honour, always volunteering for the Tyrone GAA cause. According to Sludden, the retiring managers leave the county well-positioned, and plans to assemble a new management team for the senior panel will be announced in due course.
