Lovato had experienced it and revealed the comment made someone feel great, but the voice inside the head louder said it’s eating disorder.
Demi Lovato brought out the topic about someone else’s weight loss over the weekend in their Instagram story. They warned the followers to be concerned or even hold themselves from making comments about it.
They said that complimenting someone’s weight loss can be dangerous as complimenting someone on their weight gain. Moreover, you talked to someone in recovery from an eating disorder.
The singer also said if you had no idea about their eating history, avoid commenting on their body. Even though the intention is genuine. It was because the comment could make people stay up at 2 am overthinking about it. Lovato had experienced it and revealed the comment made someone feel great, but the voice inside the head louder said it’s eating disorder.
They said, “I am more than the shell for my soul that is my body, and every day I battle to tell myself of that. So I’m asking you to please not mention to me that this is all people see of me sometimes.”
This statement came out after Demi Lovato was revealed as non-binary. This year, they were the subject of the four-part documentary Dancing with the Devil. They presented a range of topics including a near-fatal overdose in 2018, and their path to soberness.
