Deloitte leases new Irish HQ

Deloitte Ireland, the professional services entity, has recently entered into a lease agreement for its upcoming head office at 1 Adelaide Road, Dublin 2. This move aims to unify Deloitte’s Dublin-based operations within a single premise.

Harry Goddard, CEO of Deloitte, referred to the shift as a vital turning point for the top four accountancy firm. He expressed his eagerness to join forces with his teams to forge an unparalleled setting that fosters collaborations with clients for troubleshooting intricate business issues. Furthermore, he highlighted the firm’s commitment to making a positive contribution to the community surrounding the new location.

The professional services firm Deloitte Ireland employs roughly 3,000 personnel who deliver audit, tax, consultation and fiscal advisory services to its clients.

In the previous year, it came to light that Deloitte had recognised the construction owned by Irish Life Assurance on Adelaide Road as the favoured site for its new head office. Goddard stated back then that the upcoming office would feature about 1,450 workstations, even though approximately 2,500 workers are based in Dublin. He emphasized the firm’s dedication to crafting a setting that promotes higher engagement and connectivity, and the upcoming office will promote these goals through its workplaces and open zones for collaboration.

The property owned by Irish Life was picked out from a shortlist consisting of three potential locations for the upcoming head office. Deloitte was allocating around €55 per square foot for office spaces distributed across several buildings within the city.

The property on Adelaide Road, which used to be an AIB premises, is a 10-storey over-basement building located near the Harcourt stop on the green Luas line. Deloitte will have approximately 160,000 square feet at its disposal in this location. The process for dismantling the existing building began in the early part of this year.
