Day trip from Milan: Tignale, lake Garda

During the hot months of summer, Lake Garda is usually assaulted by thousands of people looking for fresh air and in the mood for swimming in the lake , but if you, like me, don’t like overcrowded beaches and just want to chill out and enjoy the panorama, the small village of Tignale is the place to be.

Located on a plateau which dominates the lake, Tignale has plenty to offer; from the church of Madonna di Monte Castello built in the 13th century to an immense and luxuriant park where one can take long walks, enjoy breathtaking views over the lake and have a hearty meal at some local trattoria.
