Team Ireland has begun strongly at the Stade de France, highlighted by Sarah Lavin’s fantastic second-place finish in the women’s 100m hurdles heat, putting her in a promising position for the semi-finals as the twelfth fastest qualifier after a clean, rapid 12.73 run. She trailed only Jamaica’s Danielle Williams, who recorded a 12.59 finish.

Rhasidat Adeleke wraps up for Team Ireland with her participation in the women’s 400m semi-final, which is due to start at approximately 7.45pm.
