This week marked a milestone for Irish beef as it was welcomed into the South Korean market for the very first time. In response, Dawn Meats expressed their approval and proudly shared that they have secured an comers initial contract that is worth several million euros. This significant deal will see them dispatching monthly meat orders to a top-tier South Korean company.
Two of Dawn Meats’ factories, Grannagh in County Waterford and Charleville in County Cork, have been given approval to supply beef cuts and offal to the newly opened South Korean market; culminating in them being among the seven Irish factories that were granted permission. The approved list also includes their competition — Kepak, ABP Slaney Meats, and Liffey Meats.
This latest development adds to Dawn Meats’ portfolio of supplying other regional markets, which includes the likes of the Philippines and Japan.
