In a recent Instagram post, Foo Fighters’ lead singer, Dave Grohl, revealed that he has fathered a child born outside his wedlock. Now a father of four girls, Grohl (55), pledged to provide his latest daughter with love and support. Grohl is striving vigorously to rebuild the faith his family has in him and seek their forgiveness.
Through his Instagram post, Grohl stated: “A newborn girl has recently been welcomed into my life, a child born beyond the bounds of my marriage. I am determined to be a caring, supportive father to her. I adore my spouse and my kids, and am doing all in my power to restore their confidence in me and seek their pardon.”
Grohl continued on to express his gratitude for the understanding shown toward all the children involved as they navigate this situation together.
Grohl and Jordyn Blum, a director, have been in marital union since 2003. The pair have three daughters – Violet (18), Harper (15), and Ophelia (10). Grohl’s first marriage was with photographer Jennifer Youngblood. However, their relationship, which spanned from 1994 to 1997, ended due to Grohl’s reported infidelity.
The celebrated musician, whose career launched as the drummer of the groundbreaking grunge band Nirvana in the early 1990s, formed Foo Fighters following the demise of lead singer Kurt Cobain in 1994. The band has enjoyed numerous hits, most recently with their 2023 album, But Here We Are.
