Dante Ferretti’s set design for the 65th Venice film Festival

Dante Ferretti, one of the most famous art directors and costume designers in the world, has once again been hired as chief set decorator for the Venice International film festival.
The main attraction of this new set will be three huge golden lions flying towards the new Palazzo which should be inaugurated within a few years.

I’m sure that the first night all eyes will be on the 5 metre lion tearing through the white screen that covers the façade of the old palazzo; the same lion will then point towards the other two that symbolise the future and the new Palazzo del Cinema.
Another big name who will help reshape the Venice Film festival’s image is director Ermanno Olmi; his short video dedicated to the Lumiere brothers will officially serve as the festival opener.
Not bad is it?Fonte: Adnkronos
