Danny Morrison and Jonathan Dimbleby are the subjects

Dear Reader,

Referring to the conversation with Jonathan Dimbleby (“Jonathan Dimbleby on the state of Britain: ‘It’s merely alienation, irritation, scorn, and disdain'”, Weekend Edition, June 8th), he reported that I had penned him a note informing him that he was no longer desired in the republican territories of the North.

His narration of the event that took place between us back in 1988, certainly appears spiced up for the sake of an engrossing readership. To set the record straight, my correspondence to him was to the effect that, “If you ever find yourself in Belfast, spare me the visit.” – Regards,
DANNY MORRISON,
Belfast.
