Dani Pedrosa fastest in wet/dry FP3 at Motorland Aragon

Once again the Motorland Aragon circuit conditions were wet for MotoGP’s final free practice and Dani Pedrosa celebrated in 27th birthday by taking the top of the timesheets and despite the tricky surface (a dry line began forming in the finale) lap times were more or less similar to yesterday’s fully wet session.

The Repsol Honda rider was cautious in the beginning, but in the end he was able to post a 2.
00.
940 lap, while Jorge Lorenzo was the second fastest rider and 0.
134s adrift but he was much more constant in his lap time searching for more rear grip.
Ben Spies was third confirming his performance at the Spanish track, while Andrea Dovizioso was just 0.
015s from the factory rider, while his team mate Cal Crutchlow was 6th and he suffered a harmless crash at turn 12 and his M1 picking up tons of mud and ruling him out of the final minutes.
Stefan Bradl separated the two Yamaha Tech3 riders and the three were covered by just one tenth of second.
Karel Abraham was the fastest Ducati rider, his Cardion AB team doing an excellent job with the outdated satellite GP12 despite the Czech rider suffering a crash early on and he was the last rider to be within a second from Pedrosa.

Valentino Rossi was again 8th and suffering his usual 1.
2 seconds gap even with the new chassis and swingarm.
Jonathan Rea snuck into 9th ahead of Nicky Hayden, while Alvaro Bautista was 11th with his new Showa suspensions.
The last prototype rider Hector Barbera finds himself uncomfortable stuck at the back of the grid in a very lonely 19th.
On the CRT side of the grid Aleix Espargaro was 12th ahead of Yonny Hernandez, James Ellison (who has a new engine spec) and Mattia Pasini Colin Edwards, Danilo Petrucci, Randy De Puniet (who did only a few laps), Michele Pirro and David Salom.
