Dalata, the leading hotel conglomerate in the country, has inaugurated a new hotel in the heart of Liverpool, signifying a key move within its broader growth strategy. This new establishment is anticipated to produce 75 employment opportunities.
The newly opened, four-star-rated Maldron Hotel Liverpool is conveniently situated on Park Lane, just a few minutes’ walk from Liverpool’s city centre and a brisk 15-minute stroll from Lime Street Station.
Marking the 55th addition to Dalata’s portfolio, this is one of four upcoming hotels the enterprise is set to inaugurate within the UK territory. Future ventures include establishments in Shoreditch, London, and Brighton in the following months, a project in Edinburgh slated for 2026, and another near Croke Park in the same year.
Kirsty Monington, manager of the Liverpool branch, expressed that the new entity would be particularly appealing to corporate travellers due to its proximity to John Lennon Airport, which is merely eight miles away.
The hotel has been constructed in accordance with sustainability standards, ranking it amongst the top 10% of fresh non-domestic constructions in the country, as revealed by the company.
Dermot Crowley, Dalata Hotel Group’s CEO, expressed enthusiasm over establishing a footing in a city rich with Irish ties, emphasising Liverpool’s role in the company’s expansion blueprint.
In their recent business performance review, the group disclosed a minimal decrease of about 1% in performance during May and June, compared to the same timeframe the previous year. However, the company had seen an 18% surge in profit as highlighted in their comprehensive 2023 annual report.
The Ireland-founded hospitality major, Dalata, established in 2008, extends its operations through Ireland, Europe and the UK.
