The Coronavirus in the UK has his youngest victim. His name is Craig Ruston. A man who is in his 45 years old and has a wife and two beautiful kids. He is from Kettering Northants. On June 2018, the amazing dad was diagnosed with motor neuron disease. And the last several days he was confirmed as Covid-19 positive.
His wife, Sally, told the story about her husband, what is his last hope and how he fought due to motor neuron disease. Sally revealed that her husband’s dying wished to donate his brain to scientific research in a bid to tackle motor neuron disease. She suggested that could now not happen because of the virus. After diagnosed with motor neuron disease, he made a blog to share about his fight against this disease. Unfortunately, he was positive by Coronavirus.
A post by the Facebook blog Mummy with MND added: “This is my good friend Craig, with his family”
“Yes, he had MND but he had a lot of time left with his girls, possibly years. Covid-19 took him yesterday. A family has been devastated. What Craig didn’t deserve was for his already limited future to have been taken so suddenly by Covid. The ‘vulnerable’ are people like me and Craig. Parents of young children. Get your heads out of the sand. Start acting in our interests”.
A former footwear designer at Dr. Martens, Hunter Boots, and Fred Perry is treated at Kettering General Hospital who had tested positive for Coronavirus. KGH medical director Professor Andrew Chilton said: “Sadly we can confirm that a man at Kettering General Hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 has died. The patient who died on March 16 had underlying health conditions.”
So, Craig is the first confirmed Coronavirus death in Northamptonshire. In the UK, Coronavirus has killed 71 people while a total of 1,950 have been struck down with the illness.
