The increase in the number of cases of Coronavirus does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. As per the latest reports, two more tourists have been quarantined in a hospital after they tested positive for this killer virus.
With these two new patients, the number of people affected by this deadly virus has doubled overnight. Initially, an Italian doctor and his wife, who had been staying at the H10 Costa Adeje Palace, were earlier transferred to the Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria University Hospital.
Now, these two new patients have been quarantined in the same hospital after they tested positive for the virus on Tuesday. As a result, more than one thousand tourists are virtually locked-up in the hotel for almost a fortnight, which is the incubation period for the virus.
While the hundred-odd tourists who checked in on Monday and did not have any contact with the Italian couple can leave on Wednesday. The other tourist will be put under individual monitoring. When contacted, the authorities said that this step is necessary to control the spread of the virus. In the meanwhile, the guests are confined to the Hotel but are allowed to move freely within the hotel after wearing the available face masks.
