Coroflo Opens New Dublin Headquarters

Coroflo, a medtech firm, has inaugurated its new main office at Dublin City University (DCU). The firm claims to have created Coro, the first ever precise monitor for breastfeeding, and has been given technical and clinical endorsement for the product. It has procured contracts with multiple retail pharmacy chains, including McCabes and McCauleys, and is ramping up production for a market release later in the year.

The business recently completed a fundraising round raising €3 million and the total investment till date stands at €6 million. Over the past half-year, Coroflo has expanded its team twofold and aims to hire an additional six staff members in the next year. The company recently named Mary Harney, the former tánaiste, as a board member.

Rosanne Longmore, Coroflo’s CEO said: “The imminent launch of Coro, new office inauguration, and expanded leadership team highlight our determination to set the benchmark for growth and inspiration in the femtech field.”

Enterprise Ireland’s CEO, Leo Clancy, commented: “As a high potential start-up, Coroflo is bringing revolutionary adaptability to the vital domain of infant nutrition, offering new mothers confidence through technology to prolong their breastfeeding journey.”

Minister of State for Business Emer Higgins stated that Coroflo’s technology will help support and empower breastfeeding mothers to monitor milk intake during the crucial initial weeks and months after a baby’s birth, calling it a “game-changer”. “This declaration sets the stage for this inventive firm to expand and scale,” she added.
